Just as a footnote to the parking charges. The PDNPA have been forced to put up parking charges because of a cut in funding from the Government amounting to a 40% real terms cut in the core grant over the past ten years .
Hello Linda and David have kindly volunteered to be a photo comp entries collection point. They are just a mile from the club room .

Last reminder re photo comp.
I will be at Andrews slide show on Thurs pm, so you are very welcome to give me any entries then.
I shall be collating the entries on Saturday, and the off skiing, so any electronic entries by about 9 am on Sat 4th please.

thank to all who have sent their photos. Deadline for entries is 3rd March.
You can send them to me electronically right up to 9am 4th march . Prefer not whats app unless you have only 1 or 2 photos as its a pain to transfer to my computer. Remember some ways of transferring electronically will reduce the pixels.If you want to put them on a flash drive ( I will return on the night of the comp or post back) there are two easy ways
1. give them to Mike Doyle before this Friday and he’ll take them to the Rhyd Dhu meet ( Or indeed direct to me at the meet)
2. At the sideshow on 2nd MarchJust a reminder max 4 photos for each of following categories
1. Nature
2. Action ( beware bum shots)
3. Scenery UK
4. Scenery AbroadNO club interest this year, there is a plan to show these another way.

The good news is that Ian Smith has agreed to judge it. The less good news is that you havent got long to sort out your photos and get them to me. The competition will be on Thursday 30th March in the Clubroom.
Max 4 photos in each of the following categories, all taken post March 2019.

4. Pictorial – Abroad
Please clearly label your photos by No(1-4)Category, Your name/InitialsYou can send them to me electronically -either by email or via an app, Dropbox, Wetransfer etc (providing its free and easy for me to access them!)

Poppit sands is just below the the campsite andteh river gorge swim is just up the Teifi.Five CMC embers joined a Derwent MC meet to do part of the Jo Brown Challenge. The route took us down the Goyt Valley to Castle Naze and Coombes Edge. The weather was kind, the views were grand and the crack team made mincemeat of JBs challenge. Best of all I got to use my first aid kit on a relatively minor injury.
David P and Paul E took on the whole challenge , finding all clues and taking 12 hours to do 24 miles (not sure if this includes backtracking to pick up forgotten rucksack) and 4200ft ascent or thereabouts.Hi Sue
Bill and I have just booked for the weekend arriving Fri night, though Bill may come up before. We may stay monday

ElenI plan to come, but maybe not for whole time. I can stay in van if short of space.
Will be walking but would love a rope up Creag dhu wall…..I think it may possible to camp in Gorest of Bowland close enough to the Dales if climbers preferred to go there. .
Joe B. I was thinking that maybe anyone who was interested could scout a couple of “legs”, then those inclined could do the whole 18 mile challenge walk, finishing with a curry/meal in Buxton or the Beehive in Combes. Then we could all join in doing the clues, but someone would know the answer for each leg.
That way it is a collaborative team challenge and anyone can take part. Further refinements to come I’m sure.

Sadly this date clashes with the week in Scotland , which might contribute to the low numbers.
I would potentially be interested but can not commit in October to a weekend in Feb, especially if the weather is good in Scotland. …
ElenLovely that lots of people are booked on to the Northumbria weekend. Lots of people arriving Thursday and staying the long weekend with David and Linda staying a week. Someone else may go on to the coast after the weekend. .
A friend of ours, Thelma, has also booked on and will be arriving Thursday.. There will also be a parrot, dogs and an emu..
