The Castle Mountaineering Club is a BMC affiliated, Sheffield-based mountaineering club.
Our members undertake a wide range of activities including rock climbing, bouldering, walking, trekking, backpacking, outdoor swimming, ski mountaineering, ski touring and mountain biking.

The club runs WhatsApp Communities with sub-groups which include Walking, Climbing, Bouldering, Outdoor Swimming and Cycling. Away meets are advertised and planned via this group. You will be invited to join the groups which interest you when you become a prospective member of the club. Guidelines for how to use WhatsApp Communities and correct etiquette can be found here. The Message Board is provided for broadcasting information to the membership.

Indoor climbing: Tuesday evening winter meets starting in October; Held @ The Foundry (Gordon) on the first Tuesday of the month with the remaining days at Awesome Walls (Kial).

Indoor Bouldering: Wednesday evenings throughout the winter at the The Depot, starting on the 2 October 2024, Lorna & Simon
