    THANK YOU

To all members who attended thank you. A Zoom Christmas is not the same without seeing people face to face but we hope that we created some festive cheer for you all to enjoy.
Special thanks to all the contributors – Andrew, Gordon, Chris K, Elen, Linda, Russ, Lynne and John.
Such a shame that Pat and Martin were only able to stay with us for such a limited time.

CHANGE OF LOCATION THURSDAY WALK 1ST AUGUST
Sorry original post put out in haste before I read Mike’s post for 25/8/19.
Now meet centre Hartington with parking available in square. (Also a car park at Western end village)
Walk contours the high ground either side of the broad valley and culminates in a visit to Pilsbury Castle – an early Norman fortification. Outstanding views all day and rewards of drinks and eats available in the village before and afterwards if you wish. Distance 6 miles. Height gain 830 feet (255m).

    Hi
Looking forward to the Skye Meet. Not sure what the likelihood of seeing otters independently. Good chance of seeing eagles I believe. Does anyone in CMC have more knowledge on this matter than me? Maybe worth booking a wildlife spotting excursion! Been looking ahead to weather – fantastic Friday, very doable Saturday and Sunday. Bit mixed after that. We hope to arrive during Friday. See you soon.

Another correction for Cromford Wharf parking. Cheapest parking for 4 hours is £2.40. This is the car park opposite church and sign posted to a rugby club. If you buy your ticket at 10.55 this should be enough time to complete walk.
