Hi All,
Chris have very kindly let me swap the date of my meet at Wilton with his meet at Wharncliffe.Weather permitting on the 10th July, I will be leading the Wilton Quarries meet in Lancashire.
Its a bit of a drive and is situated near Bolton.
There are four quarries with guaranteed access to Wilton one only. This contains stared VD to VS and above (check out UK climbing).
The other quarries are owned and used by local gun clubs. Climbers are allowed to access the quarries provided they are not been used and have no red flags showing.I intend to get there around 10.30 and use the parking for quarries 2,3,4, in the hope the gun men are having a lay in and we might get a route in before shooting commences. If they are early risers then I will walk down into no one.
I have attached a location map showing access and parking and details of how to avoid any armed confrontations.
