The outdoor bouldering season has begun. Over the spring and summer there will be a couple of bouldering meets each month on Wednesday evenings. We choose venues with plenty of easy and intermediate problems and safe landings! Mats are provided so all you need are rock shoes and enthusiasm. If weather is poor an indoor wall will be posted on WhatsApp. For more information, suggestions for venues etc. please contact Julian Brookes or Paul Embley.
The first meet is on Wednesday 24th April at the “Three Ships” which are the massive boulders above Birchen Edge. Mainly easy/intermediate problems though there are some desperate problems dotted along the main edge .Best parking is on Clodhall Lane, which is the minor road on the left as you drive down the A621 towards Baslow. I’ll be at the Three Ships from about 4.30pm.
