Inspired by Andy and Rosy’s delightful walk today, this approx 7 mile walk will also start from Peak Forest [GR 114794 with a generous amount of parking available on that side road] but, apart from the first same short section of track to the remains of the old dam, the route will head in a different direction and on completely different paths and tracks. We will go south to Dale Head [with the option here of peeling off for a shorter 4 and 1/2 mile walk] and then head towards Hargatewall, before dropping down to briefly join the Limestone Way as we head north along Peter Dale, and then Hay Dale and Dam Dale back to Peak Forest.
