For those preferring a short, walk meet at the large car park immediately after the “Sportsman” pub on Remires Road, Lodgemoor at G.R.281862.The car park is on the left immediately after the pub.Although large it has a rather small entrance-so be careful not to miss it!
The walk goes through the adjacent wood and conduit to eventually circuit the Redmires reservoirs.From the top reservoir the footpath north leads to Headstone Bank and on to Reddicar Hollow before traversingthe woods above the main Rivelin track to reach the top of Wyming Brook.
The final stage follows the woods above Fox Holes plantation before returning to the start.
Distance 6.5 miles approx.
