13 walkers (no dogs, no parrots) set off on the 13th, from the busy free parking area near Fairhomes, Ladybower, in lovely winter sunshine.
After admiring the waterfall overflowing the dam, we ambled along the north side of the reservoir, walking south into the sun, stopping for a coffee break, where some ducks bobbed hopefully.
Crossing the bridge on the A57 we cut uphill past Crookhill farm and sat in a sheltered spot for lunch, admiring the view from the first of the two peaks, Lady Crook hill. From the second peak, Crook hill, we joined the green bridleway following the crest of the hill to Lockerbrook and then made our way down through the woods back to the cars.
    Distance approximately 7miles tbc.
Thank you for cheerful company, birding knowledge and beautiful weather.
