Meet at our house (357 704) for a 7.5 mile walk to Linacre Woods and a follow on tea party to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Thursday walks – all welcome, walking or not. Please bring a small amount of party food, to support Rosy’s cake. There is plentiful parking on both Oakfield and Linden Avenues and we are the bungalow on the corner – S40 3LF is using satnav.
Dick will be offering a shorter walk (about 4 miles) linking in with the main party after about 40 minutes. Either join him at our house by 11:25 (refreshments available for those who arrive for the 11am start), or park at 341 719 (limited space) for 11:40. Please let me know if you want this option so we can ensure car space and so we do not rush off without anyone – linwarriss@aol.com, also Dick may well cycle if no one wants a shorter walk.
If you can only make the party I anticipate we should get back around 3 pm which is awful planning as it is school leaving time at Brookfield just up the road. Take care once off Chatsworth Rd because the local brats have no road sense and several have bikes with no brakes which they race down our road.
