Meet at the roadside parking just before the Ladybower viaduct G.R.198864 at 9.15 am. Sorry about the early start but it is a popular parking area and I am advised that even 9.30 am can be too late. If there are no spaces there you could cross over the bridge going to Bamford and try the roadside parking just beyond the bridge or even park in the Heatherdene pay car park ( not too unreasonable at £2.50 all day).
The route takes a direct ascent onto Ladybower Tor and follows the ridge to Back Tor and then Lost Lad before a descent and unusual route to Fairholmes.
After Fairholmes the route ascends to Lockerbrook and then continues along the top of Haggside, followed by Bridge End Pastures and the descent past Crook hill back to Ladybower.
Distance 10 miles.
