Start at 10am at GR298852, the junction of School Green Lane and Moorcroft Road, Fulwood, Sheffield (road junction about 150m down from my house). 83a and 120 buses stop nearby. Parking best on Moorcroft Rd or top of Brooklands Ave, as limited parking on School Green Lane. Walk will go via Porter Brook, White Stones, Redmires Res, Wyming Brook finishing along part of Crimicar Lane back to Moorcroft Rd. Approx 8miles, bring lunch. Controversially I plan to stagger without visiting a pub! If anyone finds this untraditional, unethical etc, we will pass the 3 Merry Lads and the Sportsman so you could call and then make your own way back. After the walk I’ll provide copious amounts of tea and some homemade mince pies, by the fire at my house. Feel free to bring other goodies to eat if you would like to. A shorter walk is possible by leaving transport near Wyming Brook. Get in touch for more info. Anyone not walking is welcome for tea afterwards – I expect to be back about 3pm.
