Saturday 6 January Trig Point Walk

Some like to tick Ethels or Yorksire mile stones. I have decided to tick trig points in 2024. I have read recently there are 88 in the Peak District. I’ve done many before but want to see how many I can reach in a year. Where a trig point offers a decent walk nearby, I shall offer as a Club meet. Note all such walks will be on permissable land! The first trig walk may be a 10 miler to bag Mam Tor or a shorter burst up Win Hill. The choice is weather dependent as both are exposed and the forecast over the next 10 days is not cheery reading. But there will be a walk! A decision will be made 2 days before.
Meet 10.00 am, parking near Hope Primary School.

Opting for 15km trig point circular from Hope – Cave Dale – Hollins Cross – return via Back Tor.
Meet 10am Hope Primary School GR 172838 where parking on road possible.
Bring lunch etc. Optional cafe stop at end.
Forecast dry – yeah!
