Hello everyone
I hope you all had a great Christmas. I have done a reconnaissance of The New Years Day walk and the parking is a bit tricky.
If you are approaching Wortley from the south along the A61 just before you reach Wortley you turn left down Finkle Street Lane. Follow the lane for about a kilometre, 2/3 mile and on the right before you reach a bridge over the lane there is a green sign for the Trans Pennine Trail and Upper Don Trail, it is not obviously a car park. At this sign turn right onto the track and follow it through a stable yard until you come to the car park.
The Grid Reference for the car park is 300 992 and is on The Dark Peak OS map or the Sheffield Barnsley OS Explorer 278 Map.
The walk starts at 11.00 and is 5 1/2 miles long
