CMC members are invited to attend the first of this year’s Eagle Ski Club Peak District lectures, to be held on Tue 23 Oct at The Plough Inn, Leadmill Bridge, Hathersage.
Dave Cowell will talk about an exploratory ski trip earlier this year to the Fann Mountains of Tajikistan – for the first time, as far as they could tell. The team of 4 from the UK and Australia also included former CMC member Huw Kingston, whose memorable lecture on his circumnavigation of the Mediterranean Sea some of us attended at Sheffield Hallam University last year.

Venue: The Plough Inn, Leadmill Bridge, Hathersage, Derbyshire S32 1BA (on the B6001 between Hathersage and Grindleford; less than a mile from Hathersage railway station).
6.30 pm: Meet in bar
7.00 pm: Lecture
