The weather forecast for Tuesday isn’t looking too bad. Anyone interested in a variation on the route we did from our house last year? Lunch in the café in Barlow (the pub is now open if you prefer!). Tea and buns at our house afterwards. 10 am start. About 32 miles – the last few being a cruise from the top down into Chesterfield. About 2500 ft ascent / descent, so a bit more than the last one from Monyash. There are various oportunities to shorten the route after Barlow.
I will be cycling on Sunday, more or less repeating the Monyash route as I can’t do the walkers route – so if anyone else in a similar situation wishes to join me, I will be starting out at the same place as the walkers – lunch in Monyash this time.
