I’ve had a note to say that CMC members are invited to this Thursday’s Alpine Club lecture in Hathersage: “Summits of success. From climbing a career ladder to unclimbed peaks in Indian Himalaya Mountains” by Kasia Piatek.

7.30 p.m. Thursday 28 March 2024 at Outside, Main Rd, Hathersage, Hope Valley S32 1BB. Free for AC members and students – please bring membership/student card
£3 (cash only) for guests – pay at the door.

Kasia used to work as a project manager from 9 to 5 but bravely decided to change her life to follow her passion for mountains. Leaving her office job, she started a new journey which led her to the remote parts of Sikkim in Indian Himalaya where, together with her team, she successfully made her first first ascent.
