Due to the Snake road being closed this is something of a Plan B

Meet at Parking area below Ironbower rocks at GR 11449 99813 on Dark Peak 1;25000 map at 10 00 am and aim to finish about 4 30pm.
Parking area below Ironbower rocks. This is just off the A628 road east of the reservoirs. Please be aware that there are 2 car parks at this grid ref. I will be in the one below the main road on Left hand side not the one on the bend on RHS coming from Sheffield. The car park is quite large so we should be able to park.

Route will take in Birchen Bank Moss, Near Bleaklow Stones, Featherbed moss and return via Far Black Clough. Distance approx. 7 miles. This is a bit shorter than usual for a Sunday walk but we will be away from tracks for most of the day and visit 3 crash sites with visible wreckage and interesting stories
Information about the aircraft involved and how they came to crash will be provided. This will give place related information for use if visiting the sites with groups in the future.
    Any issues please phone 07811986
