Saturday 12 Feb. 10.30 start
Markeaton Park Derby, DE22 4AA, GR SK 334 372. Along the A38 ring road to Island with A52Ashbourne turn off and a drive through MacDonalds Go right round island and just after A52 (Ashbourne) turn immediately R. iinto Markeaton Park.join us on this first 2022 saturday bike ride, carrying on the theme of exploring somewhere new. This is a gentle bike ride (mostly) under 30 miles (just) and quite a bit less than 2000FT of ascent. Expect parkland, attractive villages and saucy place names. Cafe stop (inside or outside seats) at the Buddhist place at Etwall.
After this stop the way back is mostly on cycle trails with minimal height change.
Whats the catch?. We are meeting in a paid carpark . There may be some road side parking in Allestree.
