13 of us set off in reasonable sunshine, on a traverse through the woods under Curbar and Froggart edges past various
large boulders. (Have made a note to return for some bouldering!) After descending to Froggart bridge we turned east along the lovely Derwent riverside path to Baslow.
After lunch taken at the twin green benches just past Baslow village store and Post Office, we ascended the steep hill to join the path westwards under Baslow Edge. Our journey then took us upwards to gain the path along the top of the rocks where we enjoyed stunning views and the warmth of a summer’s day before returning to the cars at Curbar Gap. Thanks to all for your company and “well done” to Gill who hadn’t expected to get beyond Baslow village!
