vanda boydParticipant
If anybody wants a lift to tomorrow’s walk, get in touch. Room for 2/3 leaving at 10am.
Vanda and Paul 2665767vanda boydParticipantWell it’s not Norwich City fans, wrong colour, they’re green and yellow. Leeds are blue and yellow on white but too neat for a Leeds fan.
vanda boydParticipantRe parking: there is also a small campsite below Hen Cloud. If you camp Saturday night you can leave your car on site Sunday. Also has the bonus of climbing Saturday if you want.
We shan’t be there…on honeymoon!
Paul/Vandavanda boydParticipantRope now sold, thanks.
vanda boydParticipantUPDATE. 8.45.
NOT actually raining in Sheffield at the moment so Vanda and I will be leaving for the meet at Birchen Edge in half an hour.
If you want to contact us ring 07582 634280
Paul and Vanda.vanda boydParticipantUnexpectedly Vanda and I can come, but don’t wait in car park. We’ll find you.
vanda boydParticipantVanda and I expect to be there assuming her legs are still working after circumnavigating the Isle of Wight.
vanda boydParticipantAs its a few weeks since I first posted this, thought I’d just put up a reminder, Thurs 16th May at Calver Crossroads for a gentlish 6 miles with optional extras.
Cheers
Paulvanda boydParticipantAt a quick look 9 seater for a weekend from £420 plus fuel and limited luggage space, no room for 5 tents etc. Not viable for me plus means everybody has to go to the same places throughout the weekend. As far as I’m concerned, those days are gone..
Paul.vanda boydParticipantI’ve got Jaycee stopping Friday night before skiing in Manchester Saturday. We may get there pm after Cresswell Crags am.
vanda boydParticipantHave you mentioned dogs? You’ll be in trouble if not!! Very enjoyable and sociable day, if a little chilly at times. Thanks for organising it.
Cheers
Paul and Vanda.vanda boydParticipantVanda and I expect to be there on Sun 14.
I expect most people have seen the signs, but be aware that the 14th is Sheffield Marathon day and the many road closures around Ringinglow etc have caused chaos in the past for those heading out to the Peak.
We also hope to be at the Stanage meet in May.
Cheers
Paul and Vanda.vanda boydParticipantMEET POSTPONED!!!!
After consulting individually with all interested parties, due to the rather inclement weather forecast, tomorrow’s meet has been postponed.
I will look to see where it can be Rescheduled into the busy meets programme.
Sorry it’s not happening this weekend.
Paul.vanda boydParticipantUPDATE TO SUNDAY MEET
Currently I am without transport to the meet.
Unless there is anymore interest in this meet AND an offer of a lift I shall be unable to lead it.
Currently the weather forecast for the area is fairly grim, which is what is stopping the people I’ve spoken to from going. At present only Chris and Jo have expressed any interest.
I am quite happy to lead this great trip on a future date if necessary.
Sorry about this, blame my faulty clutch and Vanda being in the Lakes.
Paul.vanda boydParticipantUpdate on walk for Thursday 28th Feb.
I’ve now prospected the planned route, it’s just under 7 miles but fairly easy going. Not worth going to pub so bring lunch. Perfect coffee stop after an hour, binoculars an advantage.
See you at Rails Road car park for 11am start. Free parking!!
Cheers
