Slide comp 12th April, as per meets list.
Homepage actually appears to have both dates, probably because original date was 5th but changed to 12th to accommodate extended Scottish Easter Meet.
Hope this clarifies matters. Will ask Andy to amend homepage.
EVEN MORE INFO!
have been this morning, sign to car park/Memorial Park is missing, so turn right just past the Navigation Inn by a sign for BYLES, immediately opposite LA DOLCE VITA. Car parking appx £1 for 4/5 hours.
Journey time: it took me 25 minutes FROM CASTLETON via Winnats and New Mills. 45 mins from High Storrs Rd.
I’ve found a lovely extra bit, including a visit to a 16th century chapel, with lots of benches outside for coffee/lunch etc.
Still got space if you want a lift.
Thanks John, will put you down for July as have had another offer for June.
THANKS TO MARK & JOHN,BOTH VACANCIES NOW FILLED.

Woof, Woof, Mad dogs and Englishmen stay home in the winter cold!
So far I’ve had no response to my request for volunteers to organise meets on these Sundays [SUNDAY JAN 21ST & SUNDAY FEBRUARY 18TH.]
If I don’t hear anything by the weekend the list will have to be produced with a couple of blanks, not ideal.
If you can help, PLEASE get in touch asap.

Vanda & I would love to join you, good choice, some easy routes!! Probably not by 10am though.
Vanda & I will be there, we can walk, fine choice. Are you booking in front room, quieter on a Friday, no TVs?
If its not raining in the morning I’ll ring you [not early] to see what’s on, or post here and I’ll check
Can’t make tomorrow, hope to be at Harborogh, depends how many routes done Wednesday at Birchens
You could have shared it!!!! And done it in a week😁😁
Vanda and I will be doing as many of the easiest routes at the Roaches as we can manage. Anybody who wants to join us most welcome.
There’s even an undercover Diff in case of showers.

More miles today! Firstly thanks to Elen for car shuffling us to the start.
Today we set out on a double objective, Phase 15 of the boundary walk from Thorpe to Waterfall, which would also add miles to the challenge week.
It’s a lovely area with some great views taking us on some paths we didn’t know, and by the looks of it, nobody else goes there either, especially after Ilam the paths were almost untraceable. However all Stiles/ gates were in place (just). Not so the school in Calton, one of the turning points but luckily ladies gardening pointed us in the right direction. (Don’t guidebook writers check these things?)
The walk was advertised as 8 miles with 1000feet of ascent, it was actually 10 miles with 1305 ft, just under 5 hours, so Mary can add 20 miles to the challenge total and Andy can tick the boundary walk box.
Paul and Vanda.
