With weather duly booked, excellent turnout for our romp round the Burbage valley. 7.4 miles and sheepdog trials with cafe at the end!
We lingered on the coffee break enjoying the view and sunshine. Typing this as the fog gets thicker…Linda

We are looking forward to this. We have been in the past, and in addition to the above there are lots of multi pitch rock routes within a few minutes walk of the campsite. Also the whole of the Briancon valley has a wide ranging array of crags and rock types. Cheers Linda and David.
Linda and I would like to be at the climbers meeting, but do not want an indoor setting, so would it be possible to do on zoom or open air? We are off to Spain the week after, and don’t want to be mingling…….

Had a good time, at not the Dovestones Edge meet. Ended up at Birchens, watched big heavy rain showers just miss us.
Did crouch under an overhang during a short sharp rain shower early on. All decided our own pop up cafe under Emma’s dilemma was very pleasant, and amazingly the rock dried in 20 minutes and so lots more routes were bagged.
Excellent turnout, especially considering the forecast. The thunder and lightning echoed around, by mid afternoon, so we scuttled away , gear dry. The roads back were as bad as the one up to Tigne today, on Le Tour!
Thanks to all for some fun and good routes. Linda.Ok, so forecast is not good for the afternoon tomorrow, thunderstorms and showers likely it’s a fair walk in etc to exposed edge, so , we plan to go to Birchens for 10am, and hope to get some routes done there. As forecast is thick cloud and rain, plus no one keen on cycling WhatsApp group, I have decided to cancel tomorrow’s bike ride, Cheers Linda.
What dreadful news. Hard to take in.. Sean was a really lovely person. He will be truly missed. We are so shocked. Love to his family. Linda and David.
Forecast for tomorrow and pleasey vale looks grim so unless it improves we will not be going.will post if we go. Linda
