KeymasterMany thanks to our semi-Spanish-resident duo for organising us all to do it, and to David P for leading and setting up abseils

KeymasterI’m late in posting the report – we’re mostly back now (Jez & Tracey, David & Linda still there). We did get a few snowflakes one day on a different ridge.
I’m for Madeira next….David Crowther
Keymasterand, a welcome to the Castle for Jacky – hope we’ll see you on future events!

KeymasterThe road is clear to just below the reservoirs, then car tracks for the last few hundred yards, so we’ll stick with the original route. Just be careful of pedestrians and water on the cleared road, a broken down bus and car in Lodge Moor, and the snow on the final section.

KeymasterI’ll drive up toward Redmires tomorrow morning to check road conditions and if the road is not passable I will post a message here. Backup plan will be to park on or near Blackbrook Road, and meet opposite the bus turnround at Lodge Moor – the road should be clear to there. Check your mail about 9.30 to 10am. Dave

Also, I was pleased to be able to hand back the phone I found to its rightful owner. After drying out, it worked and although password protected, a few recent messages popped up – one of them including the name of the owner. An unusual name, so fairly easy to track down and contact was eventually made via Facebook. Nina was delighted to get it back, and I have an extra bottle of red wine for Christmas!Attachments:
