Hello everyone!
Northumberland is calling!
With a fantastic array of climbing, walking and exploring to be had there is something to temp everyone to venture further up north!
Dates: Friday 11th August to Sunday 13th August
We will be arriving on Thursday evening to r Friday morning.Campsite: Highbury House Country Holiday Park

01668 281344The campsite does not usually allow groups but are making an exception for us. If you say you are with Castle Mountaineering Club they will pitch us together (the only limitation is that we do not congregate together past about 10pm). Please note are no electric hookups available.
Climbing: the closest crags to the campsite are Bowden Doors and Back Bowden Doors (both very highly rated and accessible crags with a good range of routes), Goats Crag (very sunny aspect), Kyloe and Kyloe in the woods (popular and has lots of bouldering).
Bouldering: there is the option for some bouldering at most of the nearby crags for anyone wishing to bring their mat.
Walking and cycling: just a stones through from the Cheviot Hills and with lots of idyllic local countryside there will be routes galore for anyone not wishing to climb or if the weather isn’t kind to us!
