Meet at the Crowden car park (free) on the North side of the A628, GR073993. Start time 10.30am.
Our route will follow the Pennine Way to Laddow Rocks and to the head of Crowden Great Brook from where a paved path leads to the summit trig point. We will return south over Tooleyshaw Moss. About 9.5 miles.
Black Hill summit is no longer a sea of knee deep bog. The re-establishment of vegetation has completely transformed the area so let’s hope we see it on a good day.
