The Castle Mountaineering Club is a BMC affiliated, Sheffield-based mountaineering club.
Our members undertake a wide range of activities including rock climbing, bouldering, walking, trekking, backpacking, outdoor swimming, ski mountaineering, ski touring, road cycling and mountain biking.
We’re a sociable and supportive club with a lot of combined experience – get in touch to find out how you can join in and enjoy the outdoors with us. CLICK HERE TO FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK.
The club runs WhatsApp Communities with sub-groups which include Walking, Climbing, Bouldering, Outdoor Swimming and Cycling. Away meets are advertised and planned via this group. Once you become a prospective member of the club, you will be invited to join the groups which interest you. Guidelines for how to use WhatsApp Communities and correct etiquette can be found here. The Message Board is provided for broadcasting information to the membership.
Meets List
To attend a club activity or a meet you must be a full or prospective member of the club. This provides third party liability insurance through the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). More information and a prospective membership request form are available on the FAQs page of this website.
Castle Mountaineering Club is run entirely by its members for the benefit of its members. If you would like to be involved in leading a meet or any other aspect of running the club, please speak to a committee member or email admin@castlemountaineeringclub.onmicrosoft.com
