Ten people met outside Hope primary school. The day was very sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky but there was a chilly easterly wind. Everyone enjoyed the walk up to Winhill Pike which included a section of Roman Road. From the top of Winhill it was a gentle downhill walk through the fields to the river Noe and Navio Roman Fort. Leaving the Fort the route followed the ridge above the river for a short while before descending into Hope. Some people found a cafe for tea and cakes.
