Thursday walk report April 23

Ten people met outside Hope primary School. The day was warm and sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky, but there was a chilly easterly wind. Everyone enjoyed the walk up to Winhill Pike which included a section of the old Roman Road. From the top of Winhill it was a gentle down Hill walk through the fields to the river Noe and Navio Roman Fort. Leaving the Fort the route followed the ridge above the river for a short while before descending into Hope. Some people found a café for tea and cakes outside in the sun.
