The walk with 15 people and no dogs started a little late due to some confusion over the starting point. After morning coffee was taken at Stanage Plantation we continued up onto and along Stanage. As promised by the meet leader the sun broke through just after 1pm as we ate lunch sheltered from the cool breeze. We all enjoyed a pleasant stroll back to Hathersage via Mitchell’s Field and Scraperlow in warm afternoon sunshine. A cracking walk!!

    Minor Update
Meet outside Alpkit on Hathersage high street at 11.00. I need to top up my caffiene levels in the cafe before we start.

    Minor Update.
Having talked to Kathy and Mary the new kick-off time is 8.00am which should enable the walk to be completed in daylight.

If you intend coming along please give me a call on 07765531938 or via WhatsApp

Thanks Dave, 2kg of each would be great. Unsurprisingly, we tend to be in most of the time!

Hi Dave, Could we have 2kg of each if there is enough or 1kg if you have lots of takers. We can easily collect to save you a cycle

    Thanks

Revised walk now cuts out Greens Farm and goes from Stanage down through Mitchell Fields and Scraperlow before passing Greenwood Farm towards Upper Padley and heading down to the river Derwent for a wander past the sewage works back to Hathersage. As for distance my cycling gizmo reckons 6.75 miles but a piece of string on a map reckons about 7.5 – 8 miles.
