One of the friendliest crags in the Peak District, Windgather is ideal place for our newer members that are just getting into leading. With an abundance of holds and the majority of routes being below severe you’re sure to get lots of climbs ticked off.
Parking is limited so good to lift share if you can, located on the minor road that leads south from the B5470 on the western edge of Kettleshulme grid ref: SJ994 783. From the parking pass through a gate and walk 2 mins east to the base of the crag. Additional parking back up the road by the quarry.
I’ll be getting there for 9am to make sure I get parked.

Kial12 castle members, 2 dogs and 3 potential new members gathered at Windgather on Sunday. Although a little chilly and windy early on, the Sun soon made an appearance to make for some pleasant climbing. Many routes were climbed with several members enjoying the friendly nature of the crag to start leading outdoors. Thanks to everyone that turned up
