The new climbing season is almost upon us with Tuesday evening meets starting on April 4th.
So, April 4th Burbage North 20 foot Crack area. These are the first routes when walking down from the Burbage Bridge parking. Lots of great shorter routes at all grades. For those who have been bouldering inside all winter, many of the routes are suitable to boulder out. Show us what all that training has done!
April 11th, Yarncliffe Quarry. A good sheltered location with plenty of routes. Aretes, cracks and slabs.
April 18th, Stanage Black Hawk. As classic as it gets with some of Stanage’s best easy routes. How about the appropriately named Castle Crack?
April 25th, Lawrencefield, Pool area. Another sheltered location with slabs and cracks. How about Excaliber, a classic crack behind the pool?
I am away for the Burbage North evening. Post on WhatsApp if you are going and what time so people know others are there. Conversely, if it is p*ssing down you can tell the world not to bother!
