Car Park on minor road 1km south of Yorkshire Bridge. Quite large parking area where the cycle trail crosses the road. GR 197840
11 am as usual.

Thursday 28 April Walk report..
13 people set off from Carr Lane car park on this fine but rather cool and grey morning. The initial approach, new to some,, led up through woods to join the path from Thornhill and the open slopes of Win Hill. The first cuckoo of the season was heard and a welcome break was taken before the final ascent to the trig point.
The route now led along Hope Brink to a sheltered lunch spot and eventually turned sharp left to descend the rough bridleway to Fulwood Stile Farm. From there we walked field paths and lanes to return to the starting point.. Various GPS devices indicated we had covered almost 8 miles rather than the advertised 6.75. This discrepancy arose because we took a gentler descent to the beginning of the bridleway rather than a more direct route down steep grass.
A very pleasant walk with excellent company!
