Meet on the parking area off the minor road between Yorkshire Bridge and Thornhill at G.R.197838.
The route crosses the Derwent at Bamford Mill,continues past the Bamford Waterworks to join the path to Gatehouse and Upper House Farm.Bamford Edge is then gained with the usual striking wooded descent to Heatherdene .The disused railway line below Ladybower Dam then leads back to the start.
Distance 6.5 miles .
