The Not Chrome and Parkhouse Hills Walk
Start at Hollinsclough – parking near the phone box SK 066 665 – 47 minutes from clubroom…
Walk heads NNW, taking in two hills en-route to Buxton Raceway (the season has finished, so it should be quiet!). Continuing below some rocks on another hill and returning via small rakes and dales. Approx 6 miles with some short, sharp ascents and descents. Entirely mud-free and suitable for flip-flops or your going-out shoes.
Not reconnoitred yet – you may have guessed. Will post an update after rece if anything changes much.
IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!
Due partly to mudness off the acceptable scale on todays rece, this walk is to be replaced with the following:
Meet at Mytham Bridge parking (206825) for a walk up the shiny new Hurstclough Lane, then Bolehill Wood, Bamford Edge, Yorkshire Bridge, old railway line back to parking.
The original walk may be resurrected if it ever stops raining.
