The walk – start from our house 356704 at 11am equipped for mudness and a 7 mile walk. Across the fields to Holymoorside, up through the woods to Stanedge golf course. A short stretch on the B5057 and back down past Stonehay farm, a bit more up and down then back to the fields. The best way to shorten this to about 4 miles would be to park in Holymoorside near the Bull Inn and waylay us up the road at 339692 where the path crosses the road, at around 11:40. Please let me know beforehand if you want to do this.
The party – beverages and cakes will be served after the walk. To date we have cream scones, rich fruit cake (GF, no dairy), lemon drizzle (GF) and parkin promised. You are welcome to bring other offerings but please be prepared to take anything uneaten away with you. Non walkers are welcome to the party, I expect we will be back around 3pm. This coincides with school leaving time so be prepared for traffic chaos.
