Thursday walk 09 June Flask Edge and Brown Edge

Dear All
Walk starts from parking on Totley Hall Lane (GR306797) which is the first left after passing the Cross Scythes pub coming out of Sheffield on the road to Owler Bar. The distance will be just a whisker under 8 miles.
The route will take us over Totley Moor through Longshaw over Barbrook and on to the summit of Flask Edge. Though the walk is at the limit of distance for a Thursday the good news is that there is minimal uphill after the initial climb to the moor.
Start as usual at 11.00. Anyone wanting to shorten the walk by approx 1.5 miles could park at the small car park which is past the Cricketer’s between Hollen House and Taylor’s Hill which we should be passing at about 11.15
