Just three of us met at Friden on the High Peak Trail last Thursday. Sean, Vanda and me. The weather was fine and shorts were the dress of the day and the nettles enjoyed themselves. Walking the length of Long Dale then into Gratton Dale was a delight and we almost missed it being deep in conversation. A few spots of rain fell at lunch time but Sean recited a ditty from memory which cheered us up. We were back to the cars by three o’clock so it was an early bath. Happy holidays to everyone.
