Meet on the roadside parking below Bamford Edge (G.R.215839).
To start we will descend Bamford Clough to Bamford and cross the river by Bamford Mill before the steady climb to Win Hill. Leaving Win Hill we take the circuitous descent through the woods to Ladybower.Crossing the dam the path through the woods near Heatherdene leads to Bamford Edge,and from there a moorland traverse and disused quarry leads back to the cars.
Distance 7.5 miles

MikeAbout ten days ago Bamford Clough was technically closed, though I successfully ascended it by squeezing round the barriers (fairly substantial portable fencing) at bottom and top. At the bottom there was a notice saying “Road Closed” (not that I’d actually want to take a vehicle up it!) whle at the top the notice said “Footpath Closed”. We passed at least two other parties going down it. You might like to reconnoitre the current situation before you do the walk.
