A party of 7, including myself, risked the weather forecast, and met at the appointed spot. We got off to a poor start when I walked past the footpath we should have taken, despite at least two others seeing it. A bit of discussion lead us to carry on for about a quarter of a mile, and take a scenic route through Magpie Mine. A bit of navigating by the seat of our pants brought us back on track.
The rest of the day went without event, save for the creaking noises from a variety of dodgy knees, and the fact that it was getting warm. In all, despite a false start, a good day.
