A repeat of the walk I led in May from Over Haddon, but going in an anti-clockwise direction this time. Despite the rain, a lovely way for me to spend part of my birthday, with a card signed by many of the Thursday walkers and a rendering of ‘Happy Birthday at the start. A rather muddy walk and full of rich farm-yard smells too, but the drizzle gradually eased and we stopped for an early lunch in Middleton, with its convenient benches. Then across fields towards Youlgreave, and then through Alport before heading north back to Over Haddon. 12 of us in all, for an approx 7 and 1/2 mile walk over 3 and 1/2 hours. and this time, no deviations off the planned route. Thank you all for your cheery company.
