Talks coming up by Derwent Mountaineering club

thanks for reminding me Paul, there has been a slight amendment to the date of the Greenland talk
“Mountain Rescue – our invisible safety net” by Pat Parsons Chair of Derby Mountain Rescue (and also a former DMC Club member!).
Thursday, 22nd February, 7pm for a 7:30pm start, The Fishpond in Matlock Bath (Ballroom).

Entry free to DMC members – non-members are welcome with a £5 entry fee. Donations encouraged with all proceeds on the night going to Derby Mountain Rescue.

We had 47 people attending Jon’s talk on the para-climbing experience it would be great to get another good turn out.

The two further dates for your diary in our programme are:

Wed 20th March – “Mountain of my Fear” (Alaska), by our very own Roger Mear who will share his experience of his amazing first ascents in Alaska. The Fishpond (Rafters Room).
Donations to Jon’s para-climbing competition Crowdfund

Thur 11th April (tbc) – “Greenland – pack rafting and adventures”, by our very own Sally Newton whose appetite for adventure is truly inspirational. Venue tbc. !NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE FROM THE 7th March!
