Join me on a 12 mile circuit of the Cordwell valley.
Meet at the top car park ( first on the left) at Lineacre Reservoir ( cost £2.50 all day) G.R.335728 at 10.30a.m.
The route.
Leaving the reservoir pass Pratthall and continue to Common Side and Cartledge Hall with a traverse below Horsley to Eweford Bridge and Unthank Hall.A steady climb then leads via Meekfield Wood to Moorhall and on to Barlow Grange.Cresting the ridge the route then descends to Birley Brook with an easy walk back through Birley and Lineacre Woods to the car park.
Distance approx 12 miles
