This Sunday the meet is scheduled to be in the Chew Valley at Wimberry [GR is SE017025] or Rob’s Rocks, depending on the wind direction, but parking is in the same place anyway, at Dovestones Reservoir off the A635 road between Holmfirth and Greenfield. Meet at 10.30.
Make sure car parking is done correctly, the warden is [or used to be] ridiculously strict, issuing tickets if not between white lines etc and fines for being 6 minutes late, rant, rant!!!
However, there are some brilliant routes [if dry] or an escape across the valley to Rob’s Rocks if neccessary, Details in ‘Western Grit’ or ‘Chew Valley’ guides.
If you are thinking of going please let us know in advance, we don’t want to be alone!
As it is a bit of a drive to get there, ring us before 9am on the day if the weather is at all uncertain, we can always change plans if needs be.
