Hello and happy new year everyone

As a denizen of South Yorkshire and Rotherham in particular I thought I would organize a walk a bit nearer to my home. The walk will include ancient woods, and The Chesterfield Cannel and I will be regaling you with historical and geological facts. The walk will be approximately 10 miles long, flat but is likely to be muddy
Covid restrictions permitting we will meet at 10AM in the Cannel Trust car car park on Hard Lane, Kiverton Park.
Kiverton Park is east of Sheffield heading towards Worksop on the B6059 going to South Anston. Hard Lane has a Premier convenience on one corner and Crossroad garage the other and is sign posted to Harthill and Clowne. The carpark is on the right just past the houses and there should be signs saying Anglers car park and Reel café but it is easy to miss. The post code for the café is S26 6RP and the Grid Ref is 495 825.
