An easy but entertaining Grade 1 scramble which involves boulder hopping across pools and scrambling past cascades and waterfalls. Waterproofs recommended! There’s no technical scrambling but if conditions allow there is an optional diversion up and down Torside Gully (Grade 2) which does include some technical scrambling.
Start Time: 9.30am
Start : Torside Reservoir Car Park – on the B6105 (GR SK068983). NB Coins required to pay for parking.
Route: Follow the stream bed along Torside Clough, emerge onto the plateau , continue to Bleaklow Head and return via the Pennine Way. (Route 18 in the “Scrambles in the Dark Peak” guidebook.
