Use the road side parking below Hen Cloud or by the footpath from Windy Gate at G.R. 006618 which is where the walk starts. Meet below the footpath sign by the road side parking there at 0900 (the early start is necessary to guarantee parking availability).
The walk crosses the col between the Roaches and Hen Cloud, and traverses Ramshaw Rocks before continuing north to Gradbach. After visiting Lud,s Church the return follows the ridge above Back Forest to Roach End, continues over the Roaches and concludes with a circuit of Hen Cloud and an ascent to its summit.
Distance approx. 12 miles
