Whilst the committee undertake a review of communication methods within the club we are trying to operate existing methods to the maximum benefit of members. It is important that our key WhatsApp groups (climbing, cycling, walking) are focussed on arranging and managing the activities they cover. Too much general information, long strings of photos etc make key details hard to find.
The Castle Chat group is intended to allow members to post items relevant to all groups; to share information likely to be of interest to members; to arrange to borrow or sell gear; to pop in a few photos of glorious weather whilst the rest of us are on a soggy camp site, etc, etc. If you want to join the group ask Lin Warriss to add you.
There are also a few more specific ‘additional interest’ WhatsApp groups which may interest you – Arts and Crafts, Bird Watching, Gardening and Wild Swimming, plus some devoted to specific events such as the Spain group which operates in winter to help the members out there to co-ordinate activities etc.
