Please join me on one of my favourite local walks. Meet at 10am at Haywood National Trust Car Park Grid Ref: SK255777. Postcode S11 7TZ. This is free to members. Otherwise pay at machine or limited free parking on the lay-by near the Grouse pub on the A625.
A 10 mile (16km) walk down to Grindleford then along the valley to Baslow before climbing up and back along the Edges. Possible cafe stops but bring supplies. Definitely some mud. Almost certainly tranquil riverside walking and birdsong.
We will walk at my pace – approximately 2 miles an hour.
