Have just check the Derbyshire CC website as I thought I had seen a sign up saying the Hope to Edale road would be closed , here is what it said

Close Hope Rd, Edale From A Point 25m West Of Junction With Carpark Entrance For A Distance Of 1.65km In A North Easterly Direction. To Facilitate Water Mains Renewal. Diversion: Hope Rd-Edale Rd-A6187-Authers Way-Winnats-The Knoll-Rushup Edge-Un-Named RdLooks as though we will need to drive round unless anyone knows differently.
