I’m going for a ride from Budby (a hamlet just off the A616 about 7 miles from Cuckney on the way to Ollerton and near to the Dukeries Antiques Centre; GR: SK 618700) starting at 10:30. Alternatively by car from my house at 9:30 – I can carry two extra bikes on my cycle rack. The ride goes on bridleways and NCN6 into Sherwood Pines (café available) to follow the red (Kitchener) single tack trail and then back on NCN6 and more bridleway through Sherwood Forest and over Budby Common – about 30 km, undulating,, not normally too muddy and should still be frozen according to the forecast. MTBs only. Let me know if you fancy coming along.
